ABSTRACT
This essay aims
to present an approach to a pedagogical understanding of students' resistance
to learning. As a methodology, for the accomplishment of this study, the
analyzes were carried through researches in books, considering the main aspects
and approaches on the contributions of the research on the learning. The
authors based their knowledge on teaching experience, given that they work as
teachers at different levels of education. It was found that according to the
current condition, learning and teaching are different phases of the same
progressive and continuous mechanism. Since ancient times, education has
consisted of disciplining the body, in order to dominate desires and impulses,
as well as getting closer to understanding the most brutal instincts that have
not abandoned the individual since his biogenetic transmutation, in which he
passes from the condition of a furry beast for a handsome young man, dominated
by the principle of aesthetics and harmonic beauty. It has become very common
to define one thing by another and when the teacher demands from the student a
mastery in a certain area, about a content or a practical activity, what is
perceived is his inability due to lack of basic knowledge of the subject and
that is where the experts appear (sic) to say that he doesn't know what was
requested, there's no denying it; but, he knows something else and this should
be valued, because it is a different kind of knowledge... Based on the results
of the research, it can be said that one of the challenges in the educational
context is not just knowing how to teach or how to evaluate, but to present
knowledge in a way that the student learns and develops better and, with this,
reduces their resistance mechanisms.
